The Punjab government launched an impressive programme to provide accessible and economically priced transport to seniors, people with disabilities, and students in Lahore.
Under this new effort, these groups will be able to use the Orange Line and Metro system for free for a three-month period.
The announcement comes as a huge relief to many Lahore residents who rely on public transport.
Senior persons, those with special needs, and students up to the 12th grade are the primary beneficiaries of this endeavor. However, university students will have to pay a little commuting fee.
To use the free transport service, senior people must be qualified and hold a valid ID card.
When riding the Orange Line or Metro Bus, students must wear a uniform and show their student ID cards.
