Tired of waiting in long lines at NADRA service centers? NADRA centres are implementing various new conveniences, like as the renewal of national identity cards at Karachi post offices.
Counters have been set up at 10 General Post Offices (GPOs) in Karachi, including Saddar and II Chandragar Road, where devices are linked to the NADRA system to provide these services.
NICs can be renewed at the post office for a period of up to one year after they expire.
However, there are no biometric facilities for blood relatives, and NIC papers must be reissued by a Grade 16 officer. Furthermore, PRC and Form B services are not available at post offices.
Previously, the National Database and Registration Authority announced the introduction of the Biker Service for the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) procedure in Karachi.
According to sources, the home-based NADRA Biker Service is essentially a mobile NADRA Centre that will walk into people’s lounges and register them on their premises, sparing them the trouble of going to the NADRA centre.
According to sources, female registration officers utilising scooties will also perform registration through this service. This service will be charged in addition to the usual CNIC price, and the CNIC will be sent to the recipients’ doorsteps once the process is completed.
