On Tuesday, girls in Pakistan’s Swat region finally played the “first-ever” women’s cricket match in the Kabal tehsil after facing numerous restrictions and obstacles.
The game was played at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kabal’s field and included female cricketers from the Kabal and Mingora tehsils.
The Mingora women’s cricket team triumphed in the dramatic 10-over match by defeating Kabal by seven runs.
Female spectators, Babuzi Assistant Commissioner (AC) Luqman Khan, Kabal AC Junaid Khan, organizer and taekwondo champion Ayesha Ayaz, coach Ayaz Naik, and others were present at the game.
Following the game, the participants were awarded trophies, certificates, and monetary rewards.
