Pakistani left-handed batsman Fakhra Zaman will not be participating in Pakistan’s crucial World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan, set to take place tomorrow (Monday). This 33-year-old cricketer is sidelined due to a recent knee injury and is currently receiving treatment for it.
The team’s management remains hopeful that Zaman will recover in time to be part of the match led by Babar Azam against South Africa. According to the sources, his fitness is showing significant improvement.
On a positive note, all the other players who had been suffering from fever during their time in India for the World Cup 2023 have now fully recovered. Therefore, except for Fakhar, all other players will be eligible for selection in the upcoming game against Afghanistan.
