On Wednesday, Iran called on Muslim countries to sever diplomatic ties with Israel and implement a boycott of Israeli products in response to Israel’s ongoing siege and bombing of the Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Strip has been subjected to bombings by Israeli forces since the resistance group Hamas launched a surprise attack on October 7, breaching Israel’s defense. Israel has placed the Gaza Strip, which is home to 2.3 million people, under a siege, while local authorities have reported the deaths of over 5,000 Palestinians.
Alarmingly, approximately 40 percent of those killed are children, as reported by Gaza’s Ministry of Health a day earlier.
