Pakistan’s religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel’s Son Asim Jameel passed away in Native Town Tulamba on Sunday

Taking to social media religious scholar announced the death of his son and requested for prayers.

Reason of death

Multan’s Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Chaudhry has confirmed that Asim’s cause of death was a gunshot wound.

In response to queries, Chaudhry stated that the police were present at the scene and gathering information about the incident. He further disclosed that Asim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.

Additionally, Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, has requested a comprehensive report on the matter from the Multan RPO.

Later, Maulana Tariq Jameel’s son shared a video message and cleared that it was a suicide incident.

Dr Tahir Kamal, Maulana Tariq Jamil’s brother, said on Monday that his nephew Maulana Asim Jameel was accidentally hit by a bullet while he was exercising in a gym.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif also shared his thoughts.
