On November 4, 2023, Pakistan’s Mianwali Training Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force successfully thwarted a terrorist attack, as reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Three terrorists were neutralized while attempting to enter the base, and the remaining three were cornered and isolated by a swift response from the troops. The ISPR praised the exceptional courage and timely action of the troops, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
A sanitization operation is underway in the area, and the perpetrators of the attack will be pursued and brought to justice. Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices by the brave soldiers only strengthen their resolve.
In related incidents on October 27, security forces conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the Tirah area of Khyber District, resulting in the death of one terrorist and the capture of two others.
These terrorists were involved in activities against security forces and the targeted killing of civilians. Additionally, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in the Sarwekai area of South Waziristan District, leading to the martyrdom of two soldiers, Sepoy Banaras Khan and Sepoy Abdul Karim.
