Careem, a trailblazer in ride-hailing services in Pakistan, has introduced Flexi Ride in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, revolutionizing the freedom of choice for both customers and captains. Flexi Ride offers three distinct categories: Flexi GO, Flexi GO Mini, and Flexi Bikes.
This new ride-hailing option empowers customers to choose their preferred price at the time of booking. An initial average fare is presented, allowing customers the flexibility to increase or decrease the price.
The bid is then sent to multiple captains in the vicinity, who can either accept the ride or propose a counter-bid. Once a price match occurs, a captain is assigned, commencing the journey.
After a successful trial in Faisalabad and Multan, where it received positive feedback, Flexi Ride has been launched in Islamabad and will subsequently expand to other cities where Careem operates, such as Lahore and Karachi.
While Flexi Ride is available in the GO and GO Mini categories, GO Premium remains unchanged, retaining the existing marketplace model.
Imran Saleem, the General Manager of Ride Hailing at Careem Pakistan, commented on the launch, stating, “With Flexi Rides, we aim to provide customers with the flexibility to choose their own fares, ensuring an exceptional experience with the highest level of safety.
This approach also allows captains to have greater control over their ride fares, positively impacting their overall earnings. We believe this flexibility will resonate with both customers and captains, enhancing the convenience and enjoyment of their journeys.”
Flexi Ride aims to offer customers the assurance of fixed-rate rides, enhancing safety measures and delivering a reliable experience for both customers and captains.
