A Japan Airlines plane faced a fiery incident at Tokyo’s Haneda airport on Tuesday, potentially resulting from a collision with a Coast Guard aircraft.
The airline reported the successful evacuation of all 379 passengers and crew members. Live coverage on NHK displayed the aircraft ablaze as it slid along the runway, prompting intense efforts from fire crews to control the flames.
The Coast Guard is actively investigating the scenario, considering the possibility of a collision with the passenger jet. According to a spokesperson from Japan Airlines, the flight originated from Shin-Chitose airport in Hokkaido.
