Netblocks, an internet monitoring service, has reported a widespread disruption of social media platforms in Pakistan on Saturday during a virtual event organized by the PTI.
“Confirmed: Real-time metrics reveal a nationwide disruption to social media platforms throughout Pakistan, affecting services such as X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube,” stated the internet tracking agency at 7:12 pm.
It added that “the incident comes as persecuted opposition leader Imran Khan’s political party, PTI, launches its second virtual gathering.”
