Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced a ten-day training camp for Pakistani cricketers in collaboration with the Pakistan Army from March 25 to April 8.
The camp aims to enhance players’ fitness ahead of upcoming series against New Zealand, Ireland, England, and the T20 World Cup. However, the decision faces criticism due to the intense cricket schedule and coinciding with the latter part of Ramadan, impacting fasting players.
Naqvi emphasized the importance of prioritizing national commitments over T20 leagues, urging players to place Pakistan first. The PCB is also seeking a new coaching set-up for the national team.
