President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called upon the nation to emulate the footsteps of the founding fathers in order to steer Pakistan towards prosperity.
President Zardari, in his message, emphasized the active participation of the nation in the process of nation-building, urging the adoption of values such as hard work, integrity, and compassion. He paid tribute to the dedication and sacrifices of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and his associates.
Highlighting the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces, civil administration, police, and law enforcement agencies, President Zardari underscored their role in ensuring the safety, security, and sovereignty of the nation.
Regarding the Kashmir issue, the President reiterated the importance of resolving the dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions, emphasizing that durable peace in South Asia hinges upon its resolution.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments, urging the nation to renew its firm resolve in following the path laid down by the founding fathers to establish Pakistan as a bastion of peace, progress, and stability.
In his Pakistan Day message, Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged the tireless efforts and sacrifices made by millions of Muslims who migrated from India to Pakistan during the partition. He acknowledged the serious challenges facing Pakistan, including inflation, unemployment, circular debt, fiscal and trade deficits, and the threat of terrorism.
However, he reassured the nation of the government’s unwavering commitment to implement policy reforms aimed at putting Pakistan on the path to economic recovery and prosperity.
