Dr. Musadik Malik, the Federal Minister for Petroleum, has reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, underscoring its pivotal role in meeting the country’s energy demands. In a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, Dr. Malik emphasized the significance of the TAPI project, labeling it as a cornerstone endeavor for Pakistan’s energy landscape, as per a statement released by the Ministry of Energy Petroleum Division.
During Dr. Malik’s previous tenure, the TAPI project witnessed remarkable momentum, achieving substantial progress and tangible results. He reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to advancing the project further. Ambassador Movlamov extended congratulations to Dr. Malik on assuming office and lauded his commitment to the TAPI initiative.
In response, Dr. Malik expressed gratitude for the Ambassador’s well wishes and pledged to strengthen the partnership between the two nations. Ambassador Movlamov provided an overview of the forthcoming intergovernmental commission and working group meetings scheduled for the TAPI project this year, highlighting its mutually beneficial nature for all stakeholders.
Furthermore, he extended an invitation to Dr. Malik to participate in the Turkmenistan Energy Forum, slated to take place in Paris next month.
