Iran has expressed keen interest in expanding its import of meat, rice, and other agricultural products from Pakistan. This enthusiasm was communicated by the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, during a meeting with Rana Tanveer, the Minister for Industries and Production and Food Security, in Islamabad.
Ambassador Amiri-Moghaddam highlighted the Iranian people’s preference for Pakistani kinnow. Additionally, he mentioned the anticipated visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan, during which the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on livestock quarantine and plant protection between the two nations is expected.
Minister Tanveer, in response, emphasized the robust relations between Pakistan and Iran, underscoring the potential for bilateral industrial cooperation.
The Iranian Ambassador reiterated Iran’s eagerness to foster close collaboration with Pakistan across various sectors.
