Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, undertook the sacred journey of Umrah on Monday.
As a special gesture, he was granted access inside Baitullah and offered Nawafil prayers within the Kaaba itself. The Prime Minister participated in the Tawaaf, the circumambulation of the Kaaba, and performed other rituals associated with the pilgrimage.
During this deeply spiritual experience, Prime Minister Shehbaz prayed fervently for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the attainment of global peace. Additionally, he offered special prayers for the liberation of oppressed Muslims, particularly those in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, from their subjugation.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were members of the federal cabinet and the Chief Minister of Punjab, further emphasizing the significance of this pilgrimage and its representation at the highest levels of government.
