Gold price in Pakistan experienced a notable decline on Thursday, reversing the gains seen in the preceding three sessions and retreating from its all-time high level.
As reported by the Sarafa Association, the price of gold dropped by Rs1,700 per tola, settling at Rs250,200 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs251,900 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs1,458, reaching Rs214,506.
Internationally, gold also witnessed a decrease in its value, with the per ounce price falling by $17 to close at $2,395.
Just a day earlier, on April 17, gold rates in Pakistan soared to a new peak amid tensions in the Middle East.
Data provided by the Sarafa Association revealed a significant increase in the price of 24-carat gold, with a rise of Rs2,200 per tola and Rs1,887 per 10 grams, reaching Rs251,900 and Rs215,964, respectively. Additionally, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also surged, trading at Rs197,967.
