IceWarp, a software company headquartered in the Czech Republic, is poised to invest approximately $1 million in Pakistan to establish a data center, as reported by Arab News. The company also outlined plans to launch a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia.

Founded in 1998, IceWarp operates in over 100 countries, offering specialized and cost-effective services such as hosted email, TeamChat, ChatGPT integration, and online conferences.

Jan Urbik, IceWarp’s global chief sales officer, expressed confidence in Pakistan’s potential for digital transformation across public and private sectors. He stated, “We will support Pakistan in its mission to adopt digitalization through affordable solutions.”

Urbik emphasized IceWarp’s commitment to compliance with local regulations, including data privacy laws, by establishing a data center within Pakistan’s borders.

IceWarp aims to provide solutions that are 60 percent more cost-effective than competitors, with enhanced applications and cybersecurity features. The company plans to invest around $1 million to set up a local subsidiary in collaboration with Hexalyze, a Pakistani company.

In addition to Pakistan, IceWarp is eyeing expansion into Saudi Arabia, where it has received positive feedback from local entities. Plans for a subsidiary in the kingdom are being considered for the future.

Syed Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze, disclosed that IceWarp intends to establish its regional office in Pakistan, with Hexalyze serving as a strategic partner. This move is expected to enable hundreds of Pakistani companies to adopt cost-effective tech solutions, contributing to the country’s digital ecosystem and conserving foreign exchange.

Hexalyze, an IT company operating in Pakistan since 2014, specializes in providing tech solutions to SMEs and large enterprises, with a presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Pakistan.
