The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee unveiled the squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England scheduled for this month.
In a notable comeback, pacers Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali, along with all-rounder Salman Agha, have been included in the squad. However, spinner Usama Mir and pacer Zaman Khan, who featured in the New Zealand T20I series, have been omitted from the lineup.
The squad, captained by Babar Azam, will undergo further trimming to 15 players for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, commencing on June 1, following the conclusion of the first T20I against England on May 22.

Additionally, the PCB provided updates on the injury status of four cricketers, including Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Azam Khan, and Irfan Khan. The release stated that Haris Rauf and Azam Khan were previously sidelined due to injuries, while Mohammad Irfan Khan and Mohammad Rizwan were rested due to minor ailments. The four players underwent fitness assessments, showing significant improvement, raising optimism about their availability for the upcoming matches.
The team is scheduled to depart for Dublin on May 7 following a three-day training camp in Lahore from May 4 to May 6.
