Pakistani martial arts star Rashid Naseem has garnered international acclaim for his exceptional prowess in mixed martial arts. Despite his numerous world records and contributions to the sport, he laments the lack of recognition from government officials.

Inspiration and Beginnings

In a recent interview on Dawn News program “Replay,” Naseem revealed that his journey in martial arts began in 2003, after witnessing a martial arts world record on television. Inspired by the display of skill, he resolved to showcase his talents on a similar platform.

Unprecedented Success

Since then, Naseem has achieved an impressive feat of setting 121 individual world records in mixed martial arts. Additionally, he has passed on his expertise to 14 students who have also set their own world records. Despite his remarkable achievements, Naseem expresses disappointment at the lack of acknowledgment from government authorities.

International Recognition

Naseem’s talent has not gone unnoticed on the international stage. He has been invited to Italy multiple times by the Guinness Book of World Records, where he has set records in live shows. His remarkable accomplishments extend to other countries including China, Korea, Singapore, and Germany, where he has showcased his skills on televised shows.

Family Legacy

Naseem’s family has also left their mark on the Guinness Book of World Records. His daughter holds the title of the youngest Guinness World Record holder, while his father is recognized as the oldest record holder in Pakistan. Furthermore, Naseem’s wife has secured her place in the record books by defeating a record holder in India.

Government Recognition

Despite his international success and numerous accolades, Naseem voices his disappointment at the lack of recognition from government officials. He asserts that neither the Prime Minister, President, nor any provincial chief ministers or sports ministers have reached out to acknowledge his achievements.

Personal Sacrifices

Naseem’s dedication to his craft is evident in his commitment to train for international TV shows, which he funds out of his own pocket. He works as a mixed martial arts instructor at a private school, relying on it as his main source of income.

Future Endeavors

Undeterred by the lack of government recognition, Naseem remains focused on his goals. He has broken 38 world records previously held by Indian athletes and has been selected for an American TV show. With an American visa in hand, Naseem plans to set another record in the upcoming season, solidifying his status as Pakistan’s premier martial artist.
