The federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governments have reached an agreement to collaborate in addressing power losses and recovering areas, marking a significant breakthrough in a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The announcement came during a press conference following discussions between Ali Amin Gandapur and Mohsin Naqvi. Federal Minister for Energy Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and the federal interior secretary were also present at the meeting.

Addressing the joint press conference, KP CM Gandapur assured that his government would collaborate closely with the Centre to minimize electricity losses. He outlined plans to launch a public awareness campaign in cooperation with local representatives and community members to address the issue effectively.
Gandapur also revealed plans for solarization initiatives in different parts of the province to control electricity losses, expressing determination to transform Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a load-shedding-free region. He expressed gratitude to the federal government for its support and cooperation in this endeavor.
Responding to inquiries about the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that both parties had set targets and made commitments to each other. He affirmed their joint dedication to providing relief to the people of the province.
Gandapur concluded by stating that the outcomes of the meeting would soon become evident, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving the lives of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
