Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has urged the relevant authorities to develop a sustainable model for the effective utilization of social security funds.
During a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House, Gandapur instructed the arrangement of a collective marriage program for 4,000 deserving women across the province. Each woman selected for the program will receive a grant of Rs0.2 million from the dowry fund.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of collecting accurate data of eligible women from all districts and allocating quotas based on the population of each district. This, he stressed, would ensure transparency in the selection process for mass marriages.
To maintain integrity, Gandapur insisted on the formation of committees at the village council level based on merit rather than political affiliations or personal preferences.
Furthermore, Gandapur emphasized the need for a rigorous scrutiny mechanism to ensure that only deserving individuals benefit from social security funds. He reiterated that political influence or favoritism would not be tolerated in the distribution process.
Additionally, the Chief Minister directed the provision of standard electric wheelchairs to those in need, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.
