Islamabad to Get New York-Style Digital Ads. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to transform Islamabad’s advertising landscape with the introduction of digital billboards inspired by New York’s Times Square. This initiative is part of the CDA’s efforts to modernize advertising methods in the city.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa to review the Advertisement Policy 2024. The new policy aims to replace traditional advertising methods with cutting-edge digital boards, bringing a modern touch to the city’s visual appeal.
Senior officials of the civic authority and other relevant officers attended the meeting. Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need for swift finalization and implementation of the Advertisement Policy 2024. He highlighted that the digital transformation would be crucial in keeping the city’s advertising methods up-to-date and visually appealing.
Under the new policy, digital billboards will be strategically installed along highways, major avenues, commercial zones, and bus stops. This placement aims to maximize visibility and ensure that the advertisements reach a wide audience.
In addition to the digital advertising initiative, Islamabad and Baku have begun implementing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on beautifying the Pakistani capital. This collaboration aims to enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal, further complementing the modernized advertising efforts.
The introduction of digital billboards is expected to bring a vibrant, dynamic look to Islamabad, akin to the bustling visual landscape of New York’s Times Square. The move signifies a significant step towards modernizing the city’s infrastructure and enhancing its attractiveness to residents and visitors alike.
