KARACHI – Gold extended its gains in Pakistan’s domestic market on the last trading day of the business week, driven by an upward trend in international prices on Saturday.
Data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association revealed that the per tola gold price rose by Rs1,000, reaching Rs252,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs857, settling at Rs216,478.
In the international market, the precious metal saw a significant rise, with the per-ounce price surging by $23 to reach $2,386.
Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained stable, with per tola and 10 grams trading at Rs2,860 and Rs2,451.98, respectively.
This follows a trend from the previous day, when the per tola gold price also increased by Rs1,000 to reach Rs251,500, and the price of 10 grams rose by Rs858 to settle at Rs215,621.
The recent movements in gold prices reflect broader global economic factors and investor sentiment, as the market continues to respond to economic indicators and geopolitical developments.
