KARACHI – Gold registered losses on the opening day of the new business week due to a decline in international rates on Monday.
Data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed that the per tola gold price decreased by Rs300, settling at Rs256,500. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold dipped by Rs258, reaching Rs219,907.
In the international market, the price of gold dropped by $16, settling at $2,417 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in Pakistan, with the per tola price standing at Rs2,900 and the 10-gram price at Rs2,486.28.
On Saturday, the per tola gold price had decreased by Rs500, settling at Rs256,800, while the 10-gram price dropped by Rs429 to reach Rs220,165.
