Gold prices in Pakistan surged by Rs. 1,400 per tola on Friday, marking a total increase of Rs. 3,400 per tola over the past two days, approaching historical highs.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose to Rs. 263,500 per tola, while the price for 10 grams increased to Rs. 225,908. This follows a Rs. 2,000 per tola rise on the previous day, reversing a recent decline.
In the international market, gold prices are nearing a one-week high as investors await U.S. job data, which may indicate the Federal Reserve’s upcoming rate cut. Spot gold was up 0.1% at $2,518.49 per ounce, and U.S. gold futures increased by 0.2% to $2,548.50.
