Apple decided to break with tradition and not include stickers in the boxes of the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The company has confirmed that these stickers will only be available on request at the Apple Store.
If you purchase your iPhone 16 from an Apple Store, you can request the stickers at the time of purchase. However, third-party vendors and carriers will not receive the stickers for distribution, and they will not be available for purchase with the shipment.
The move is part of Apple’s environmental ambitions, which aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Apple wants to eliminate plastic materials from its packaging by next year, with an emphasis on 100% fiber packaging in 2024.
This decision is not new, as other new Apple devices, such as the Vision Pro and the new iPad Pro and iPad Air, no longer have box stickers.
