Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari reportedly sustained a serious foot injury while disembarking from his plane at Dubai International Airport late Wednesday night. According to a statement from the President’s House, the incident resulted in a fractured foot.
After the accident, medical personnel promptly transported President Zardari to a nearby hospital, where doctors administered initial treatment and applied a plaster cast. His medical team has advised that the cast will be necessary for approximately four weeks to ensure proper healing.
Following treatment, President Zardari was taken to his residence, where he was advised to observe complete rest. News of his injury prompted an outpouring of well-wishes from political leaders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, who extended heartfelt prayers for a swift recovery. “Our thoughts and prayers are with him, and we look forward to his swift return to serve our nation,” Kundi posted on X.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sehar Kamran also expressed concern, lauding Zardari as an “icon of strength and courage” and wishing him a full and speedy recovery. “May Allah Almighty bless him with good health and long life, Aameen,” she wrote in a message of support.
