Gold prices in Pakistan soared by Rs1,300 per tola on Friday, reflecting an increase in international rates. The price now stands at Rs267,700 per tola, while 10-gram gold saw a rise of Rs1,115, reaching Rs229,510, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This comes after a significant drop of Rs5,500 per tola on Thursday when the rate had settled at Rs266,400.
Globally, gold prices also saw an uptick, with international rates climbing to $2,565 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $13 increase for the day.
In contrast, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs3,250 per tola.
