Pakistan’s Haris Rauf has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November 2024 following his standout performances during Pakistan’s tour of Australia.
Rauf was in exceptional form, claiming 10 wickets across three ODIs, playing a pivotal role in Pakistan’s first ODI series win in Australia in 22 years. His performances were crucial in Pakistan’s 2-1 victory over the hosts.
The 31-year-old pacer finished the month with 18 wickets and edged out India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen for the award.
Rauf’s most notable performance came in the second ODI in Adelaide, where, with Pakistan trailing 1-0 in the series, he bowled a brilliant spell of 5/29, helping Pakistan level the series with a dominant nine-wicket win.
In the third ODI, Rauf claimed two more wickets, was named Player of the Series, and helped Pakistan clinch the series. He also impressed in the subsequent T20I series, picking up five wickets, including a four-wicket haul in Sydney, marking his fourth such performance in T20Is.
Later in the month, Rauf added three more wickets in Zimbabwe, contributing to Pakistan’s 2-1 series win.
