Flour prices in Karachi have seen a notable decrease for the second time in two weeks, bringing relief to consumers.
The Commissioner of Karachi announced a Rs 10 reduction in chakki flour prices, now set at Rs 105 per kilogram. Wholesale fine flour prices have dropped by Rs 3, bringing the rate to Rs 92 per kilogram, while retail prices for the same have also fallen by Rs 3, now at Rs 96 per kilogram.
The price of a 2.5 kg bag of atta has also seen significant cuts. The wholesale price is now Rs 85 per kilogram, and the retail price has been reduced to Rs 89 per kilogram.
This follows a period of increased flour prices in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other districts of Punjab, making Karachi’s price reduction a welcome development for its residents.
