Following the collapse of a pillar on a railway bridge between Shahdara and Masan Kalan, railway authorities have temporarily halted train operations between Lahore and Faisalabad.
According to sources, the pillar fall caused the Lahore-Faisalabad railway route to be shut down for 72 hours. Until further notice, trains on this route have been canceled.
The Marvi Express, Badar Express, and Ghouri Express between Lahore and Faisalabad are among the disrupted services.
The Karakoram Express, which was headed from Karachi to Lahore, has been rerouted through Sahiwal as a result of the track suspension.
The Shalimar Express and Mianwali Express routes have also undergone alterations.
According to a railway spokesperson, railway employees were on the scene when the pillar collapsed and immediately stopped train operations for safety.
The bridge restoration project has started, and it should be finished in the following 72 hours.
Lahore to Faisalabad commuters and tourists have been inconvenienced by the temporary suspension of this important train service.
The track is being repaired by railway authorities, and regular train service will resume as soon as possible.
