In a candid revelation, actor and singer Agha Ali has confirmed his divorce from fellow actor Hina Altaf, putting to rest long-standing rumors surrounding their marital status. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, had faced speculation about their separation since 2022, but neither had publicly commented until now.
Appearing on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, clips of which have gone viral, Agha humorously responded to Butt’s question, “Happily divorced man, how are you?” with a laugh, before sharing his thoughts on the end of his marriage. He explained that, while difficult, it was a decision made after much reflection. “I believe any relationship built on happiness should be maintained with effort and prayer, but if it isn’t working, it’s better to part ways.”
Agha emphasized that both he and Hina will continue to respect one another, avoiding the animosity that often follows a breakup. “When relationships end on a bad note, hatred and malice build up. But we have ensured that respect remains,” he stated.
The actor reflected on the personal challenges he faced in making the decision, noting how his own experience of losing his father at a young age made him appreciate the importance of family. “I never imagined making such a choice, but it was necessary,” he added, requesting prayers for both him and Hina as they move forward.
The couple, who wed during the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020, had consistently denied rumors of their split, but Agha’s recent interview marks the first time he has publicly addressed the matter. Earlier this year, morning show host Madeeha Naqvi also touched upon the topic but later retracted her statements.
