The Punjab Government provided Health Cards to more than 5.1 million families, according to official data from the Province Health Department.
Over 1 million citizens have taken use of the free healthcare services provided by all empaneled basic, secondary, and tertiary public and private hospitals.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) government’s main initiative is the Naya Pakistan Health Card Scheme. It was originally released in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, then Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad, with Balochistan and Sindh to follow soon.
Dedicated Health Cards were initially provided by the federal government to citizens. CNICs, on the other hand, has recently been converted into Health Cards, allowing people with a valid CNIC to get free treatment worth Rs. 1 million at any empaneled public or private hospital in the country.
