A big discovery happened when a group of experts found a pot filled with old copper coins at Mohenjo Daro during some repair work. Workers were fixing a broken wall when they found the pot full of these ancient coins.
The person in charge of preserving things, Syed Shakir Shah, said they sent the coins to a lab to figure out how old they are and to understand the writing and numbers on them.
Shah mentioned that the workers found the coin pot during their dig but buried it again. Later, some workers told the officials in charge, who then dug it back up.
Some archaeologists think these coins could be many centuries old, but they can only be sure after the lab checks them. Mohenjo Daro is a super old site, around 5,500 years old, and is special because it shows how a civilization planned and managed things, which is unique in the world of archaeological discoveries.
