According to a new patent recently granted to Apple, most of the iPhones and iPads could include magnetic chargers of their own. There will not be charging and data transmission port installed, which is found on all iPhones and the majority of iPads.
A patent for a new magnetic connector capable of transmitting power granted to the iPhone by the US Patent and Trademark Office this week. Following the reports means that Apple will remove the Lightning port from its smartphones in the future.
The patent shows a new kind of connector that resembles the Smart Connector on the iPad and even the MagSafe on older MacBooks. According to the illustrations, this connector will replace the Lightning port as a new way to charge the iPhone.
