A Mac Mini in Apple’s M3 Mac lineup may be accomplished by the year 2024 as the company has begun testing a new gadget that’s going to be ahead of its time!
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter released on 6th August 2023, Apple is expected to launch new iMacs and MacBooks that will be having the next generation Apple silicone M3 Chipset. Gurman further said that a computer is being tested under model identifier Mac 15,12 at its campus, he speculates it to be a Mac Mini.
According to him, Apple is testing an eight-core CPU (four efficiency cores and four performance cores) and a 10-core GPU Mac with 24GB RAM and would be running macOS Sonoma 14.1. He suggests that it could be a base M3 chipset with two high-end iterations that might be called M3 Pro and M3 Max. Except for the memory installment, the specs match to the base model M2 Mac Mini. He also pointed out the company’s earning call as Apple has mentioned expecting a double-digit decline in Mac revenue during the fourth quarter of the year 2023. Gurman has recapitulated that the M3-powered Macs are expected to land in the first fiscal quarter of the year 2024 and not before that.
