If you’ve bought a new iPhone recently, you probably had to update its software right after opening the box. Apple is working on a solution to make this process smoother.
They’ve developed a special pad-like device that will allow iPhones to be turned on and updated while still in their boxes. This means you won’t have to go through updates before using your new phone. Apple plans to introduce this system in their stores by the end of the year.
Currently, when iPhones are shipped from the factory, they have the iOS version that was available at that time.
This can sometimes result in iPhones arriving with older software versions, which isn’t ideal. Apple’s new method aims to solve this issue.
