Today’s Defence Day ceremony will be delayed, and Army Chief General Bajwa will speak to the crowd there.
Official sources state that the ceremony, which will honor the heroes and winners who made the ultimate sacrifices on September 6, 1965, in defense of the homeland, would take place at the Army Auditorium and be attended by army officials and others.
Remember that this year’s Defense and Martyrs Day major ceremony was postponed in support of those affected by the persistent monsoon rains that caused portions of the country to flood on September 6?
In a tweet, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the decision was made in support of Pakistan’s flood victims.
It added that Pakistan Armed Forces shall continue serving our brothers and sisters struck by unprecedented floods.
