Arshad Nadeem, who recently made Pakistan proud by winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, continues to receive a wave of rewards and accolades from across the nation. Among the many gifts bestowed upon him, one stands out for its uniqueness and sentiment—a buffalo, announced by his father-in-law, Muhammad Nawaz.
Expressing immense pride in Arshad’s historic achievement, Nawaz shared his excitement with the local media. He mentioned that the entire family is eagerly anticipating Arshad’s return, planning a grand celebration to welcome him. “We showered him with flowers and celebrated his success wholeheartedly,” Nawaz remarked.
When asked about the unusual gift, Nawaz explained, “I will give my son-in-law a buffalo as a token of our love and pride. It’s not just any gift, but a milk-giving buffalo, which I hope will be a meaningful gesture for him.”
Nawaz also provided some insight into his family life. He has seven children—four sons and three daughters. His youngest daughter married Arshad Nadeem six years ago, and the couple now has three children: two sons and a daughter. Their eldest daughter is in the first grade, the older son has just started school, and the youngest son is still an infant.
Reflecting on Arshad Nadeem’s early days, Nawaz recalled, “When Arshad married my daughter, he was doing small jobs and practiced javelin throwing at home. His passion for the sport was always evident.”
Nawaz proudly added that his daughter, Arshad’s wife, is a Hafiz-e-Quran. He emphasized the strong, harmonious relationship they have always shared with Arshad, noting that he has never complained and is always appreciative, happily eating whatever the family serves during his visits.
