Art is a highly diverse range of human activities engaged in creating visual, auditory, or performed artefacts. Art is what the author’s imaginative skills are. It may be characterized in terms of mimesis (representation of reality), expression, communication of emotion, illusions and thoughts. When it comes to visually identifying a piece of artwork, many people cannot see the concept, emotions, power, tears, hard work, concentration behind it.
Many people will not necessarily understand the concept and emotions attached to an artwork. Art is often examined through the interaction of the principles and elements of art. It includes movement, unity, harmony, variety, balance, contrast, proportion and pattern. The elements include texture, form, space, shape, colour, etc., The purpose of art is to communicate with people through spiritual or philosophical ideas, to explore the nature of perception, for pleasure, or to generate strong emotions. Its purpose may also be seemingly nonexistent.
Art and Human Emotion
Art has a deep connection with human emotions. It is often intended to appeal to, and connect with the human emotion. Artists may express something so that their audience stimulated in some way creating feelings, religious faith, curiosity, interest, identification with a group, memories, thoughts, or creativity. It has a power unlike other human endeavours – it has the power to produce a variety of human emotions that no other ventures can. It has the power to make you laugh, to bring you to tears, to provoke you to anger, to leave you exhausted on the couch. Well, it takes many forms, yet the power remains. in a 4×4 canvas. As much as it is about action, it is also about the arousing of emotion, with the plot and the reactions of the characters inside the tragedy “arousing pity and fear, wherewith to accomplish its catharsis of such emotions”
Unexplainable Source of Peace
An artist is able to take his/her experiences and the emotions contained their desired form of artwork which give us a much more textured and layered form their experiences. It’s like speaking to those who understand. Not all people can understand the language of artists the same way that most of the people can’t understand the deaf language. For me, art is an unexplainable source of peace. It takes me to the state of mind where there is no one except me and my abstractions forming a shape which I paint into my form of art. Art is like a galaxy filled with rich layers of colours, textures that attract towards itself. Have you ever been to an art gallery? Ever spent 10 minutes of salient gazing a splash of colours; a broken masterpiece on a canvas? I believe that art is the “Bermuda Triangle” that pulls the artist towards itself and once you enter it, there’s no coming back.
