Pakistan has urged the international community to reaffirm its commitment to poverty eradication, promoting full employment, and encouraging social inclusion through transformative action at the UN in an effort to empower people.
Saima Saleem, a Counsellor in the Pakistan Mission to the United Nations, demanded increased funding for the developing nations impacted by crises during a discussion on social development at the UN.
According to her, the international community must step up its efforts, demonstrate a strong political commitment, and gather the funds needed by developing nations to fund social protection programmes.
