Azam Nazeer Tarar, a senator for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was reappointed as the federal minister of law and justice on Wednesday.
Cabinet Division also released a notification to that effect.
The announcement follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s rejection of Senator and former law minister Azam Nazeer Tarar’s resignation from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The senator was visited at his home by a group of federal ministers, including Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb, the minister of information, Ayaz Sadiq, the minister of economic affairs, and Saad Rafique, the minister of railways.
It is important to note that Azam Nazeer Tarar submitted his resignation on October 25 and gave personal reasons for his decision.
The Senator resigned after being seen at the Asma Jahangir Conference, where attendees screamed anti-institution sentiments.
“I am disappointed with the way a small group of participants behaved at AJCON22 today by unnecessarily chanting slogans against state institutions n not listing to the achievements so far made for their benefits. We must respect each other’s point of view – hallmark of democratic society,” he tweeted.
