The announcement by Azerbaijan’s national carrier to launch regular flights to Pakistan is a huge relief for travelers.
Azerbaijan Airlines, or AZAL, will begin service to Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi on September 20th of this year.
Flights from Baku to Islamabad will be run on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while flights from Baku to Lahore will be offered on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline has stated that it will fly flights to Karachi on Thursdays and Sundays; the flights will serve to strengthen people-to-people contact between the two countries as well as encourage tourism.
