President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan arrived in Islamabad on Thursday for a significant two-day official visit scheduled from July 11 to 12, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Upon landing at Nur Khan Airbase from his special aircraft, President Aliyev received a warm welcome from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and key cabinet members, including Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar. The ceremonial reception included a 21-gun salute and bouquets presented by two children dressed in traditional attire.
During his visit, President Aliyev is set to engage in crucial meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Asif Ali Zardari. The discussions will cover a wide range of mutual interests aimed at further enhancing bilateral cooperation. Additionally, both sides are expected to finalize several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen their diplomatic ties.
