ISLAMABAD, Sep 13 – Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, stated that the upcoming Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum in Baku presents a significant opportunity to strengthen business relations between Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Central Asian nations.
During a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, at the National Assembly Chamber, Khan emphasized the importance of fostering closer ties between investors from both countries and boosting bilateral trade.
He highlighted Pakistan’s strong rice export industry, particularly Basmati rice, as a key area of growth for trade with Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
Ambassador Farhadov expressed confidence in the deep relationship between the two nations, stating that the forum would be mutually beneficial. Azerbaijani business representatives praised Pakistan’s business environment, calling it their second home, while Khan assured full support to Azerbaijan’s business community through the Board of Investment.
The Baku Business Forum is scheduled for September 16.
