Berlin, Germany – Thousands march to protest against the pandemic precautions imposed on the people amid Coronavirus. They claim that the government is violating the rights and freedom of the people of Germany. Around 17,000 people gathered, as per estimations of the Police Department. The mass included anti-vaccination activists, libertarians and etc. Some of the few in around the mass carried the imperial, black white and red flag of Germany.
The protestors were focusing on spreading a message of freedom in the form of removing precautionary measures. The usual placards were saying ‘Do think! Don’t wear a mask!’. The people were dancing and singing that they are free people. The march initially is against the government’s pandemic precautions imposed in the country. Berlin was full of people marching against the precautionary measures although these were implemented for their own safety and betterment.
Covidiots of Berlin
Micheal Ballweg, an entrepreneur, and political outsider have managed similar rallies. Furthermore, this rally was also followed through his call. Apparently, Ballweg is competing to become the mayor of the Southwestern city as well. The Police Department has filed a complaint against the organizer, claiming that no SOPs were followed. The people weren’t keeping their distance and the masks were nowhere in the scene.
Major Political Party representatives stepped up to criticize the protest. However, Saskia Esken called the protestors “Covidiots”.

The infections due to the pandemic are rising again after Germany had successfully controlled them. Approximately more than two hundred thousand people are infected by COVID-19, taking lives of 1000.
