The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has recently declared a modification in the examination structure for matric and ninth classes.
In the upcoming session (2024-26), ninth-grade students will exclusively undergo Islamic Studies exams, while matric students will be assessed through the Pakistan Studies examination.
As part of this adjustment, both Islamic Studies and Pakistan Studies subjects will now carry a higher weightage, with marks increased from 50 to 100. In light of these changes, the Punjab Textbook Board has been directed to produce updated textbooks that align with the revised curriculum.
Additionally, BISE Lahore has officially announced that the Punjab Matric Exams for 2024 are scheduled to commence on March 1. This move reflects an ongoing effort to streamline and enhance the examination system, providing students with a focused and optimized assessment experience.
