Beginning on Monday, beneficiaries of the Kafaalat program will get their first quarterly payment under the Benazir Income Support Program for the current year. 7.7 million families will each receive more than 5.5 billion rupees in the first installment.
These funds would be distributed to the eligible transgender and female beneficiaries from Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan at the payment locations or biometric automated teller machines that Habib Bank designated.
The money would be distributed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan via payment centers or biometric ATMs operated by Bank Al-Falah.
Shazia Marri, the minister for eliminating poverty and ensuring social security, has meanwhile urged Benazir Income Support Program recipients to collect their full installment of 7,000 rupees without forgetting to obtain a payment receipt by the relevant quarter.
In a message to the beneficiaries, she stated that there would be no deduction from this sum and asked them to contact the local BISP Tehsil Office or the toll-free BISP helpline 080026477 as soon as they were asked for a deduction or charge for payment.
Shazia Marri informed the recipients that only messages from the number 8171 should be believed, as all other numbers and codes would be phony and fraudulent.
