Stephan Fabulous Allen, better known by his stage name Dutchavelli, is a well-known British rapper and hip-hop artist who recently embraced Islam.
28-year-old Dutchavelli, a native of Birmingham who was influenced by the religion’s teachings, embraced Islam and converted to it.
A social media video shows Dutchavelli performing his Shahadah to convert to Islam. To corroborate the rumors, the rapper also posted the trending video on his Instagram stories.
Fans flocked to the comments section to extend their congratulations to the artist. A Twitter user wrote, “May Allah SWT guide him and put it in his heart to follow guidance. He definitely needs peace in his soul from all the street drama that surrounds him.”
A number of media publications had previously reported that the British artist had started reading the Holy Qur’an and other religious texts frequently, but Dutchavelli himself never officially confirmed these rumours.
Stephen Allen started his career as Dutch in 2016 with songs like “New Jack City,” eventually going by the stage name Dutchavelli. However, his career was put on hold for two years while he was imprisoned on remand due to legal issues in 2018 regarding a firearm charge.
After being granted a licence in 2020, the rapper gained popularity again and created a number of songs, including “Only If You Knew,” which garnered over 20 million views in a short period of time.
Additionally, Dutchavelli has given a number of hits in collaborations with artists such as Stormzy and M Huncho. Furthermore, he has cemented his name as one of the leading emerging talents in the drill scene as well.
