The Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIP) runway would stay closed for two months at particular times.
The decision was made due to concerns about birds colliding with planes on the runway.
The airport’s shutdown was approved by the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) director general.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a notice to suspend airplane operations at a Lahore airport.
The runway at Lahore Airport would be blocked from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., according to the notification.
“The decision will be effective from July 15 to September 15, 2023,” airport officials stated.
Domestic and foreign airlines have been notified, and all airlines have been asked to reschedule flights in accordance with the airport closure time.
